I’m originally from beautiful Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. At the age of 18, I moved to Halifax to pursue my undergraduate degree from Saint Mary’s University and four and a half years later, I proudly graduated with my BA, advanced major in psychology. Longing for a fresh start, I moved to Richmond, BC, to live with my parents who had moved a few years prior. In between then and now, I’ve grown so much. Sometimes it feels as if it was a past life. Some of the highlights of those years has been being privileged enough to travel and experience England, Paris, Brussels, Scotland, Ireland, Fiji, New Zealand and Australia and blessed enough to have 2 beautiful, healthy, amazing daughters.
I’ve done quite a few things in my 37 years on this planet. Some were decisions that I am proud of, and some, not so much! No matter how I feel about the choice, they were made and have brought me to this amazing and beautiful place in my life. They have shaped me into the woman I had always dreamed I would be; strong, compassionate, funny, intelligent, fearless, a great friend and a wonderful mom. What I’ve learned is that our paths don’t always look like how we expect them to, AND we always get to the destination. The amount of bends and detours along your path depends on you and your perspective.
Life is a beautiful journey filled with ups and downs, zigs and zags, well laid plans and chaos. My journey has brought me presently to a passion of mine that feels like home; Coaching. The ability to help another to rediscover their worth, reconnect to their passion and affirm their commitment to themselves is one of the most rewarding feelings I have experienced. In addition to my Coaching career and mother, I work full time at UBC as a fundraiser and have earned my Reiki Mastery; another passion of mine.
